Tired of paying $90 for a dewalt battery, then it goes bad in 6 months? and your stuck

I just saved my self $700 this afternoon, if your intrested, go to the link below.

For some reason I always wanted to hang on to my dead batteries that cost $90 each, to bad I must have tossed out 10, 15, 20 of em in the past.

loctite - waste of money, worthless product

key aint letting go

Well folks, here is the impossible.  I asked a friend (in town plumber), next time he is by Marvin, get me a couple bearings for my k-50.  Heck, I was expecting $10-$15 each but more like $65 each (needed 2).  After that shock (my mind is in the wrong century).  Now I had to work on taking out the old and installing the new.  I have never seen something like this before, I mean, I've seen these key's and key way's give problems before, but never like this.  Tomorrow I will examine for more damage.

update - I don't know how but every thing is OK?  I pounded the gear and key back into the key way slot, cut off as much key as I could, took a welding stick, grounded it down to fit in the other end of the key way, taped with a hammer / got another 1/4" key exposed, cut it off, taped the rod a little more, cut off some more exposed key, taped a little more, the rest of the key fell out, gear came off, took assembly out of the unit.

update - guess what?  The machine sounds just about the same, a little less but not worth $130 in bearings.

Discount tire

I was at Discount tire today, getting 2 new front tires for my E - 350 Ford van. 2 - Goodyear Wrangler HT 245/75R16, load range "E". The only load range "E" tire they had was the Pathfinder Train A/P 245/75R16. I said ok.

So

I'm looking at the tires this evening and something don't loor right, hummmmm. Low and behold the Goodyear Wrangler Ht is about a inch wider.

How can that be? Same numbers. Well I don't want em. I don't care what the numbers say. My tape measure and eye balls tell me they are not the same. What a joke

I already called them, I want my old tires back. These 2 tires cost me $341. They said the Wrangler Ht's will cost me $180 more.

update

I went to NTS? tire the next morning, looked at all the tires they had in stock that fit my truck. Purchased 2 tires (same size) with 7.75" of thread width. Put the discount tire, tires in the back, took em back to Discount tire, asked for my money back.
